 PARIVARTINI EKADASHI 2021 In English-, according to the Hindu calendar there are 2 Ekadashi's in each month as there are 2 pakshas one is Shukla paksha and the other one is Krishna Paksha, the 11th day of each paksha is observed as Ekadashi, Lord Vishnu is worshipped on this day with goddess Lakshmi, generally, there are 24 Ekadashi each year but the year with adhik mass or mal mass (extra month ) there are 26 Ekadashi.This article is about parivartini ekadashi 2021 date, shubh muhurat, puja vidhi, significance, rituals, ekadashi mantra, and parsva or also called as parivartini ekadashi katha .

RITUALS OF PARIVARTINI EKADASHI IN ENGLISH

  • Ekadashi vrat starts a day before i.e ( dashmi ) tithi devotees does not take any meal a day before after sunset to ensure that there is no food left in the stomach and during fasting,
  • all types of grains are forbidden, it is a strong belief that on Ekadashi even if a person is not fasting due to some reasons should not use rice in food as rice is filled with sins.
  • on Ekadashi, a devotee should read VISHNU SAHSRANAM on Ekadashi to gain blessings of Shree HARI.
  • On this day a devotee gets relieved of all his past sins and receives a reward equal to VAJPAYEE YAGNA.
  • The vrat ends on Dwadashi, the next day after offering prayer to Lord Vishnu and offering food or grains to brahmins.
  • A devotee should perform bhajan kirtan on this auspicious day and also listen to Ekadashi vrat Katha and should also chant mantras.

PARSVA/PARIVARTINI EKADASHI KATHA IN ENGLISH

Parsva Ekadashi is one of the most auspicious days to worship Shree HARI, it falls in the month of August or September and according to the traditional Hindu calendar, it falls during the month of Bhadrapada. Parsva Ekadashi occurs at the time of "DAKSHIINAYANA PUNYAKALAM " which means the right time of the Chaturmas period.
 
It is considered to be very fortunate to worship lord Vishnu. It is a very strong Hindu belief that during this period Lord Vishnu takes rest and he shifts his sleeping position to the right side from the left side that's why this Ekadashi is named PARIVARTINI EKADASHI.In this day Lord Vamana, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu is worshipped so it is also called VAMANA EKADASHI there are some other names also like JALJHILINI, PADMA, and JAYANTI EKADASHI in different regions of the country.
